Destination weddings are not for everyone.

The details you need to take care of are double, maybe triple. As a wedding planner, you know this better than anyone else.

And yet, destination weddings are special. 1 in 5 weddings are destination weddings. The memories created on these occasions last a lifetime for every single guest. If you ask me, they are worth the extra effort.

Not only do you create for your clients and their guests a weekend filled with beautiful moments, you give them the chance to discover a new place, to go on a journey. That in itself adds a special kind of momentum and spirit to the wedding.

But when Bora Bora, Thailand, Indonesia, the Mediterranean coast or castles in France and Italy have been locations for quite a few weddings and you want to surprise and excite your couples with a new idea, what do you propose?

When all has been done and photographed already, what’s new to offer?

Transylvania. A destination wedding in Transylvania.

But if destination weddings are not for everyone, a destination wedding in Transylvania is even less so.

However, you do get that special couple who wants to stand out; you get that adventurous bride and groom who want a lavish wedding yet somewhere where none of their friends have gotten married.

What do you propose to them?

My suggestion: Transylvania. And here’s why.

You could have the first ever couple to get married and celebrate in Bran Castle, known as Dracula’s Castle. To this date, no one got married in it.

Its rooms could fit a small wedding party of 30 or a larger one of 100. Will you organize the first ever wedding in Bran Castle?

But maybe not everyone is into castles.

Transylvania is the perfect wedding location for countryside and nature lovers.

The Carpathians have some of the last virgin forests in Europe, paths you can hike on without meeting a single soul for days.

You can horse back ride across the country unhindered by fences of any kind, and you can enjoy your nights in amazing guesthouses and old castles that have been beautifully restored.

There’s more to it though. While the setting can be pristine nature and accommodation can be charming and chic, you can plan a wedding to be anything from a traditional affair to a lavish dinner and a dusk till dawn party.

What you need to know is that your couple will have first-class service, exquisite cuisine with local or international chefs, DJs and live musicians to keep the party rocking until the last guests leave the dance floor.

Your couple can host their wedding in a totally unique and undiscovered place.

Their wedding would magical and romantic; moreover, their guests would be treated to something they’ll never forget.  A trip back in time with modern luxury.  A destination wedding with the old world traditions and untainted countryside – the perfect beginning.

A place to host a fabulous wedding for much less than you’d expect…  you can only imagine that the cost will be a fraction of what it would cost in France or Italy.

All along you have us as your local partner to take care of all the preparations and details before your arrival.

I want to be honest: I am not a wedding planner, I run the only bespoke travel agency in Romania. The only wedding I organized was my own. Here are some pictures. I didn’t take them; a dear friend did.
