Covid-19 situation

Like most countries in the world, Romania has lifted most Covid-19 restrictions. Travel around the country is not restricted and wearing a mask is not mandatory. 

The number of Covid-19 cases is under 5,000 (as of July 21st, 2022) in Romania.

Below are some of the measures we’re taking.

No questions asked, no hidden fees, you simply get 100% of your money back if you cancel 30 days or more before your planned arrival date in Romania.

Provide a safe house in case of contamination*

Should you or someone you travel with get Covid-19 and don’t need to be hospitalized, we’ll help find a cozy option for you to spend the days of required quarantine. Instead of a hotel room, you’ll get a few house options to benefit from going outdoors and having more freedom to move around. Meals can easily be arranged to be provided daily and so can other services such as laundry, wi-fi, etc.

Provide masks, disinfectant and wipes in car and welcome packages

Although you might arrive with your own mask and disinfectant, we’ll have a supply of them available in the car, in your welcome package and with your guide should you need more.

Have doctors on call to easily reach guests with symptoms

Traveling in a country where you don’t speak the language and being far away from home when sick, is not a nice combination. We want you to feel safe, comfortable and well taken care of all the time, even more so should you start showing Covid-19 symptoms. We have doctors on call who speak English and are available to travel short distances to meet you and consult on your case, if needed.

Offer flight monitoring to and from Romania

If, until now, we took it upon ourselves to watch over your time only in Romania, we’ve partnered with the team at Cranky Concierge to have your flight monitored both on your way to Romania and on your way back home. This comes at no extra cost for you, it’s simply something we feel we want to do to help you feel safe, in good hands, from door to door.

Cranky Concierge essentially watches over your flight and informs you via e-mail if there are changes. They are also better suited to find solutions to any air related issues so should there be cancellations or other changes. 

*For the same price we’re covering to have your flights monitored, you can get the Cranky Concierge guys to plan your trip too. In other words, they can search and book your flights, or, if you do this yourself, you can simply ask for a second opinion at no cost for you. 

War in Ukraine situation

As a member of NATO, Romania is a safe travel destination.

The unfortunate situation across the border does not threaten to destabilize Romania. Traveling to Romania is as safe as traveling to any other destination in Europe. 

In fact, the low criminality rate and hospitable nature of people, make it a perfect holiday destination for those who want to avoid the crowds in other, more known destinations.
