Last week we welcomed spring with the legend of the Dragobete, the Romanian mythical representation of love. Let us now fully open the blooming season with the lovely, colorful, “Mărțișor“ day – taking place on the 1st of March!

In Romania, the arrival of spring is announced by a tandem of very special moments: “Dragobete Day” and the “Mărțișor”.

Winter is magic everywhere, but in Romania, we turn it up a notch. Besides the fairy tale landscapes, fascinating magical traditions are here to amaze you.

Why do we travel? Because it shows us we’re not alone, it shows us that a person from the other side of the globe, speaking a different language and believing in a different god can be exactly like us, can feel the same joy when looking at something beautiful and can feel the same pain when hurt.
